- What time should I arrive for the sailing class?
We recommend that you be at the marina 30 minutes prior to the start of your lesson. This will give you the opportunity to get comfortable with the boat, as well as allow us time to review boating safety with you. - What should I wear?
Always dress for the season. Please keep in mind that when you are on the water it is typically cooler than being on shore. Soft-soled shoes are required for all sailing lessons. - Can I bring food and/or drinks?
We provide chips, crackers, sodas and bottled waters for all lessons. You are more than welcome to bring food and drinks if you would like. Food items that require little or no on-board preparation are recommended. Ice for refrigeration is provided. No adult beverages are to be consumed during lessons. - Do I need to bring anything?
Although we do have a bimini for shade, we advise you to bring sun protection. Sunbeams reflect off of the top of the water. - What kind of shoes should I wear?
Soft-soled shoes such as tennis shoes should be worn during all lessons. No flip-flops please. - What do we do if there is poor weather?
Safety is a priority at Myrtle Beach Sailing School. Your Instructor reserves the right to postpone or cancel your lesson if conditions are not ideal, and will call you if we are unable to sail. - What is your cancellation policy?
If your Instructor cancels your lesson due to inclement weather and you are unable to arrange a "make-up" day, you will receive a full refund of your deposit.
If your lesson is cut short due to inclement weather you will receive a pro-rated refund.

Tipping your Instructor is optional and is greatly appreciated.
